Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
Placing second in the 50m breaststroke at the South West Summer Regional Championships was a defining moment in my season. After spending nearly six months managing an injury, training on a reduced programme, and adjusting to a squad change, the path back to competition was far from straightforward. That result confirmed that the resilience, discipline, and commitment I maintained throughout a challenging period had not gone to waste.
Goals:
What are your goals? To achieve a sub-30 second 50m Breaststroke, demonstrating technical efficiency, race execution and physical robustness at national level. To earn selection and represent Ireland at international competition, contributing positively to team culture and performance standards. To implement a fully integrated pool and gym programme that maximises my physical capacity, technical precision and mental resilience — becoming the best swimmer I am capable of being. To proactively seek and utilise every available opportunity (coaching input, competition exposure, performance analysis, recovery optimisation) to accelerate development. To successfully balance elite sport with achieving a high-quality engineering degree, maintaining strong academic performance while adapting confidently to life in a new country.
