In a Hampshire match versus Sussex, our team needed a point to win. I was 1 up in my match on the 17th hole, which was a par 3. I hit my tee shot into the greenside bunker which plugged. My opponent was next to the hole for par. It was a large two tier sloping green. I hit my bunker shot and unfortunately it rolled down the slope leaving me with a 35-foot putt. I holed the putt thus allowing me to win the match and get that all important half point. I was then going down the last 1 up allowing me to make an easy 4 for the full point and the win for our team.
