STRENGTHS

One-on-One defending: Widely regarded as my best attribute, my proficiency in one-on-one defending stems from a combination of anticipation, positioning, and tactical awareness. With a keen eye for reading opponents’ movements, I excel in closing down space, timing tackles effectively and forcing turnovers. My ability to stay patient, jockey opponents, and anticipate their next move allows me to consistently win duels and regain possession for my team.

Pace: A cornerstone of my game as a right full back, my exceptional speed allows me to make dynamic overlapping runs down the flank, providing crucial support in both attack and defence. Utilising my pace, I am adept at bursting forward to receive the ball, offering an additional outlet for my teammates and creating scoring opportunities in the final third. Moreover, my speed enables me to quickly recover defensively, track back to prevent counterattacks and cover large areas of the pitch effectively. By consistently outpacing opponents, I not only enhance our team’s attacking options but also disrupt the oppositions defensive shape, often drawing away defenders to create space for our wingers to exploit.

Team Player: As a dedicated member of the team, I prioritise fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere both on and off the field. I strive to uplift and motivate my teammates, offering words of encouragement and support to keep morale high during challenging moments. By fostering a positive attitude, I aim to cultivate a connected team environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to perform at their best. Whether it’s during training sessions or intense match situations, I consistently demonstrate my commitment to teamwork, understanding that collective effort is essential for achieving our goals.

Strength on the ball: My ability to retain possession under pressure is a key asset, often drawing fouls from opponents. With strong balance and control, I withstand challenges and maintain possession, forcing opponents to resort to fouling tactics. These fouls not only provide opportunities to advance up the pitch but also create scoring chances from set pieces. Whether its winning free kicks in dangerous areas or earning penalties, my resilience on the ball consistently translates into goal-scoring opportunities for the team.

AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT

I feel like working on striking off my left foot is something that I would like to improve on because it will add more to my game.
