STRENGTHS
- Positive, forward thinking: whenever I have the ball at my feet, I will always look to be confident and progress further up the pitch.
- Chance creation: I am often able to create opportunities in dangerous areas that others may not see.
- Technique: One thing that I have always been praised upon by coaches, teammates etc is my technique being ‘fluid’.
- Passing: I am able to find passes with a high success rate, no matter how easy or difficult the pass I am attempting is.
- Pace: I have been told many times that I accelerate very fast, and I am able to gain a half yard over my opponents.
- Counter attacking: Due to my pace, I am able to carry the attack forward quickly during counter attacks and create chances by running in behind or finding key passes.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT
- Physicality: I would like to improve my physicality as it can be a very useful tool when used appropriately, for example shielding the ball and shifting opponents.
- Defensive anticipation: I feel that when defending, a large part to coming out successful in a duel is to anticipate what your opponent is trying to do. By anticipating their moves, you are more likely to come out on top.
- Decision-making: Sometimes I feel that I can rush my decisions, and not wait for other options to appear that may be the better choice.
Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:
Committed, hardworking, driven, passionate, savvy.
Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
A few years ago, me and my team went on a football tour to play in a tournament. We got to the final, where I got 2 assists in order to help us win the tournament. We were handed a trophy almost identical to the Champions League trophy, which made us all feel great. We all had a great time celebrating on the coach on the way back.
Goals:
- Continue improving: I feel that I have made large amounts of progress recently, and I would like to continue this momentum and carry on improving.
- Play at high standards: I would like to play at consistently higher and higher standards in order to boost my improvement.
- Enjoy playing: I would also like to purely enjoy playing football as a sport, as I find it is one of the things I feel happiest doing.
Anything else we should know?
I am excited to continue the process and become closer and closer to earning a sports scholarship in America, which would be a dream come true for me.
