Interview

Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:

Hardworking, dedicated, team player, motivated, fun.

Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:

My best memory in my athletic career would be swimming in America. The atmosphere and team spirit was amazing and I truly felt like a part of a family. Especially when I got to swim at the University of Maryland campus. It was also highly inspirational to compete in a summer swim league that Katie Ledecky swam in.

Goals:

I am thrilled to be competing again and have a short, medium and long term plan that I have developed with my coach. Short term I would like to enhance my fitness, compete and hit PB times in 50, 100 and 200 breast, 200 IM and 100 free.

Mid term, I want to progress through counties and regionals to get to nationals in at least 2 events. And then long term, I want to continue to work really hard and fulfilling my dream to swim for a college team in the USA.

Anything else we should know?

I believe in the long game and I’ve definitely experienced the highs and lows of swimming and competing, and the hardship and dedication that comes with the sport. I’m a great team player and work hard to motivate and encourage younger swimmers. I’m also a lifeguard and L1 qualified swim teacher. I’m also working hard on improving my mindset, I do this by reading motivational books and listening to podcasts eg High Performance Podcast.
