Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:
Resilient, Passionate, Disciplined, Coachable, Dynamic
Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
Whilst I have so many incredible memories of my athletic career, I would argue my best memory would be racing the 400 Free in the 2024 English Nationals final. In my first attempt at the event, I managed to secure a qualification place for the Summer Champs. I was delighted with my heat swim, after setting a new personal best (dropping 3 seconds from my PB) in only my second attempt at the event and secured an outside lane for the final. When I got to the final, I felt as though I had nothing to lose and felt truly immersed in the race and “in the zone”. I achieved an even quicker swim in the final (dropping a further 7 seconds from my heat) and with a surge in the final 150m secured a silver medal. I’ve taken that positivity and passion into every race I have completed since, and use it as a constant reminder as to why I am so passionate about this sport.
Goals:
My short term goals include qualifying for World Championship Trials in 2026 and other national competitions, along with attending a leading American university. I would also like to improve all 4 of my strokes in the sprint events to make me a more well-rounded athlete.
Anything else we should know?
I come from a relatively small town club that I am proud to be a captain of, as it is that community, combined with my tenacity and dedication in training that has shaped the athlete I am today, and all of my successes in this sport. Although I know that this sport is individually measured, I thrive in helping to create a positive culture for myself and my teammates.
