Interview

Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:

Technical, Inquisitive, Honest, Relentless and Passionate

Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:

One of the greatest moments and best feeling I have had in swimming was when I competed in the Scottish National Short Course Championships 2025. I had failed to final in a number of events in the first 2 days of the meet, I felt frustration and pitied myself, I knew I could have done better. The turmoil led me to reflection and a spur of invigoration. On the final day of the meet I swam with passion and excitement in the heats to place me 6th going into the final. The hunger to compete grew in the build up to the final. I managed to maintain my composure to execute a great winning swim which was a personal best as well as a West of Scotland Age Group record. I was ecstatic with my performance as it was proof to myself that adversity can always be overcome no matter it’s intensity. I had regained the confidence in myself that I should always have and that I still have today.

Goals:

Swimming – I want to reach my maximum potential both physically and mentally in order to perform at international level and beyond.

Education – I want to be educated in various fields, not only to deepen my understanding of the world but to also secure a fruitful future for myself.
