Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:
Resilient, team player, hard working, determined, adaptable.
Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
My best memory would have to be at the English Summer Nationals 2023 where I had qualified for the 50,100 Fly. I had also qualified for the British Summer Championships in the 50,100 Free.
A fortnight before my first race at the British Championships, I suffered a shoulder injury, which massively interrupted my final training preparations. This disrupted run-up was evident at the British Championships, where I was slower than my target times and narrowly missed out of the Finals.
The following week at the English Summer Nationals, I was determined to turn this around and overcame that initial disappointment to swim massive PBs and to medal in both races: Silver in the 100 Fly and Gold in the 50 Fly. The gold was particularly special as it was my first ever gold at a national competition and in one of my favourite events.
Goals:
I want to represent my country in an International competition and be part of the team in the 2028 Olympics.
Anything else we should know?
My role as Senior Club Captain of Worcester Swimming Club (350 swimmers) is extremely important to me. In this role, I act as a role model to our swimmers to exhibit exemplary sportsmanship. I organise club charity fund-raising events, such as our Movember fundraiser, coach the junior squads on a weekly basis, and work poolside during our club galas and open meets to organize, support and motivate our younger and more inexperienced swimmers.
