Interview

Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:

Aspirational, resilient, adaptable, disciplined, Empathetic.

Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:

It’s difficult to choose just one swimming experience to be my favourite as I’ve had the privilege of racing across the globe, at some of the top meets, alongside some great athletes. However, if I had to narrow it down to just one moment, it would be becoming a British Age Group Champion. I’m not sure if there’s a better feeling than putting the hard work in, and getting rewarded for it at a high level; And it’s moments like those that keep me motivated and hungry when training and racing. A close second memory would be travelling to Mallorca for a swim camp, which not only helped me to prepare for nationals, but also brought the team together and created some great memories and friendships.

Goals:

My ultimate goal is to represent my country at the top level (whether that be Great Britain or Australia). I believe that finding the right University will help aid me in reaching this goal.

As for a shorter-term goal, I am aiming to qualify for the European Junior Team next year in 2023.

Anything else we should know?

I’ve come from a multisport background, partaking in sports such as Rugby (7’s and 15’s), Athletics, AFL (Australian Football), Football (Soccer), Biathlon, Hockey and Ocean Swimming.

I also have a keen interest in American Sports, particularly in basketball, keeping a close eye on the NBA and the yearly Draft. Thus, I am excited at the potential of becoming immersed in the American sports culture.
