Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
I have two best memories to date; the first is my experience of representing Cornwall at the National Inter-county championships at Ponds Forge in Sheffield; the atmosphere and noise was incredible; everyone painted themselves in their county colours and we all got into the rivalry between counties with the best spirit! It was so inspiring and it made me wonder what the Olympics and the eyes of the world on me would feel like! The other is a race; the 50m Fly at the Devon County Championships 2024, where I had pb’d in the heats but told my coaches I wanted to take another second off in the final – a big ask! However, I had lane 4, and a great start, and I refused to let go and managed to force my position past the swimmer in 5 to take the win and the championship. It taught me the value of perseverance and racing my own race, and in the end it became a competition of mental toughness!
Goals:
My goals are to represent Great Britain in top level International competition, to work hard to refine my technique, increase my power and produce top level National swim times; to break a world record and train and race at a US university
Anything else we should know?
I achieved maximum marks in his OCR Photography achieving one of very few grade 9’s nationally. I received a letter of commendation and congratulation from the awarding Body OCR, and his final film has been submitted into a national competition in early 2026.
