Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:
My best memory is winning this past summer’s Swedish Youth Championships! All the competitors cheered for each other and enjoyed the competition even with no supporters allowed due to Covid restrictions. Everyone was throwing at their best and I set my current personal and regional record. It was especially fun to win this competition because of the high standard throughout the competition. This was especially meaningful since I had just finished rehabilitating from a knee injury the year before.
Goals:
To have a long and sustainable athletics career that allows me to throw as far as possible. I want to give it my all while listening to the short term restrictions of my capability. Education is also important to me as is having an international and open minded perspective. In turn this means reaching my full potential in everything I set my mind to, both in discus and academically.
Anything else we should know?
I strongly believe in challenging myself daily. I grew up in a household where sports and academics are very important. Both my siblings did track & field when I was still very young. However, I still found my own way and passion for the sport. It is very intriguing to work so hard for something that shows extreme results in the long run. I am also very interested in understanding the technique behind my throws and to continue to improve it!
