Interview

Give us 5 words that best describe you as an athlete:

dedicated, loyal, progressing, fair, hard-working

Tell us about your best memory of your athletic career:

My best golf memory must be from our club championship in 2016. I was 1 shot behind going into the final round. We had a great match going on, but I was still 1 behind after 17 holes after making a great bogey on the 17th, after a lot of trouble. I was thinking, standing on the 18th tee, “just give it your best shot”. The drive on the 18th is still one of the best in my career and one of the longest. I was in a perfect position to reach the green in 2. My second shot went just right of the green from about 270 yards. I chipped it to 3 feet and sank the putt for a birdie to tie the lead. He missed his birdie and we went to a playoff. We had to play a par 3 over water and I was very nervous. Luckily, I pulled off a very good shot and hit the green. I then putted it down to 6 feet and sank the putt. I still remember my dad screaming “Yes!!”. That meant a lot. And getting the trophy and my name on it with 100 people clapping and saying congratulations, that was a big moment.

Goals:

My biggest dream is to become a professional golfer and I am willing to work extremely hard to get there. After college, I hope to join the Web.com Tour and to qualify for the PGA Tour through the Web.com Tour.

Anything else we should know?

I am a very athletic person and love to be active. I love riding my bike and to play tennis. I am also very good at maths and social sciences. Overall, I really like school a lot and I really enjoy politics, especially debating about it, which I think will also help me in my studies.
